Math Tiles
Montessori Math Tiles are introduced at the same time as the Montessori Bead Frames. The tiles are color coded to mark place values, the same as the bead frames. Students use these colored tiles and coordinating mat to represent 4-digit numbers and complete addition and subtraction problems.

Geometry
Second year students recently began a working with the geometry tools. They have worked with and recoded basic geometry terms that include the names of lines and angles. Students also learned to measure and draw angles using a protractor.

Compound Words
After being introduced to the compound word drawers in the grammar section, students began working with the compound word stars. During this activity, students attach clothespins to stars to create compound words. These words were then recorded in a compound word notebook.
